Standalone Claude Design closes Dec 14
Action needed: move your design systems out of standalone Claude Design before Dec 14, 2026. That’s when claude.ai/design closes and starts sending you to Claude, where Claude Design now lives and new designs are created as artifacts.
Save any chats and comments you need first, because they don’t carry over.

The standalone Claude Design site has an end date. It keeps working until it closes on December 14, 2026. After that, claude.ai/design takes you to Claude, where new designs, design systems and slide decks are created as artifacts.
What to do now
- Migrate your design systems. Open the Artifacts page in Claude and click “Migrate team design systems” in the “Claude Design lives here now” banner. One migration brings over every design system in your organization, and anyone who can use Claude Design can start it.
- Save what won’t move. Your chats with Claude and comments on projects and design systems stay in the standalone version and are deleted after it closes. Public links to standalone projects stop working too.
- Projects can wait. They keep working in the standalone version until it closes, and more details about moving them to Claude are coming soon.
For Team and Enterprise owners
Claude Design in Claude depends on artifacts, so check Organization settings > Artifacts. On Enterprise plans, design systems are off by default. Organizations with zero data retention can’t turn on artifacts, so they should download their projects before the standalone version closes.
